About
I’ve always been fascinated by how people change — and why it’s so hard sometimes, even when we really want to.
My early career as an exercise physiologist and yoga instructor was all about helping people build healthier habits and bring more balance into their lives. But it didn’t take long to notice: knowing what to do wasn’t the problem. Under the surface were deeper, stickier patterns — emotional blocks, automatic reactions, protective habits shaped by past experience — that made change feel overwhelming or even impossible.
That curiosity led me to a master’s degree in counselling psychology, where I dove into the neuroscience of emotion, behavior, and especially attention — because what we focus on shapes how we think, how we feel, and even how our brains rewire over time.
Training in Focusing, Polyvagal Theory, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) cracked open a whole new understanding for me: change doesn’t come from trying harder or thinking better. It comes from working with the body’s primal survival systems — the ones that have been keeping us safe all along.
These days, I weave together somatic practices, contemplative therapies, and movement to help people tune into their bodies, regulate their emotions, and lighten the cognitive load of daily life. It’s a mind-body approach that makes space for real, sustainable change — with a little more ease, a little more self-trust, and even a little joy.
